* WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO FILM IN “NATIVE” FOR AMERICAN AND JAPANESE CLIENTS ?


The World is divided into different video segments. Most Countries are PAL standard while the USA, the Japan, etc.. are NTSC. Complete list HERE.
Filming in PAL provides a rate of 25 frames per second with a frequency of 50 Hz. In NTSC, the rate is 30 frames per second at 60 Hz. Transcoding Technology can change the rhythm of the images to go from 25 to 30 or from 30 to 25 images. However, Transcoding does not change the electrical Frequency. For an American Client, Transcoding restores the NTSC Signal while preserving the European electrical Frequency. Consequences: When playing a DVD in the USA, the Customer note Jerks in Panning and Zooming on the film.
We work with two Camcorders. Each is assigned to a Video Format PAL or NTSC. For our US and Japanese Clients, we acquired our NTSC Camcorder to B&H in New York. We GUARANTEE our Films with their FULL QUALITY for the Country where it will be read.
